Here are the top stories today in Orlando:

1. 24 Orlando-area restaurants will be competing during Orlando Burger Week with burger specials, off menu options, and beer pairings from August 11th to August 25th. Burgers will be available for take-out at most participating restaurants with a $5 fee per order. (Orlando Weekly)

2. A new bakery called Sugar Dough Bakehouse in the former Blue Bird Bake Shop is now open. It is offering offer a variety of desserts including Japanese milk bread, croissants, Danishes, cookies, egg tarts, and more. (Bungalower)

3. An increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations has forced Brevard hospitals to treat patients in tents outside. Starting Monday, Health First also delayed all non-emergency surgeries to make more COVID-19 beds available. (Click Orlando)

4. Anti-vaccine and anti-mask protesters tried to disrupt Mayor Jerry Demings’ weekly coronavirus press conference on Monday after government employees were required to get vaccinated in Orange County. (WFTV)

5. Only 40% of employees with Orange County Public Schools are fully vaccinated. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, more than 38,600 child COVID cases were reported in the United States from July 15th to July 22nd. (ClickOrlando)
