1. Orange-Osceola State Attorney Monique Worrell announced on Friday her office will not seek charges against the Orange County deputy who shot and killed 22-year-old Salaythis Melvin. Deputy James Montiel shot Melvin last August outside the Florida Mall as the man was running away from plain-clothed deputies. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has released hours of body camera video, but the most critical viewpoint of the deputy who fired his weapon was not available because his body camera was not on, according to the sheriff’s office. 2. Walt Disney World has set the dates for the return of the Festival of Fantasy parade as well as the updated castle show. The parade will return on Wednesday, March 9th and feature the Maleficent dragon float and characters from "The Princess and the Frog" and "Tangled." (Spectrum News 13)
3. A 15-year-old Lake Mary High School student was arrested Thursday for having a gun on campus. A report says the student’s mother was the first to warn school officials that one of her kids was possibly there with a gun. (WFTV)
4. Officials say a 17-year-old was crossing the street to catch a school bus in front of Kissimmee Middle School when he was hit by a car. The student is enrolled at Osceola High School. News reports say he's in critical condition and suffering serious injuries. (WESH)
5. Winter Park's $3.1 million urban park, Progress Point, is now under construction. The first phase of development for the park is expected to be complete soon and the second phase will start in spring or summer. (Bungalower)
