Here are the top five stories today in Orlando:

1. Orlando Museum of Art Director Aaron De Groft was fired by the museum board on Tuesday, as the fallout continues from the museum's ill-fated Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit. The board appointed Joann Walfish, who has served as the museum's chief financial officer, to serve as interim director of the museum while they seek new leadership. (Orlando Weekly)

2. Osceola County and its school district have proposed new manufacturing training opportunities. The program is looking to serve 180 students over a two-year period from August 3, 2022 to August 2, 2024. (Subscription: Orlando Business Journal)

3. Rumors about how Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) plans to handle new changes to state law had residents and teachers speaking out at Tuesday's school board meeting. Some teachers say they are being brought to the point of resigning. OCPS says more formal rules will come from the Florida Department of Education. (Fox 35)

4. Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) plans to narrow lanes and add raised medians to State Road 46 in Sanford. Neighbors and business owners oppose the project because of the traffic that will follow the construction. Construction is expected to begin in 2023. (Spectrum News 13)

5. A shooting happened at an Orange County Wawa on Wednesday afternoon, according to Orlando police. Authorities said two people shot at each other in the parking lot of the gas station on North John Young Parkway around 1:40 p.m. (WESH)
