1. Facundo Torres scored his first-ever MLS goal to propel Orlando City SC to an early lead that held, as the visitors beat the LA Galaxy 1-0 at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday afternoon. It was City's first win since Opening Day and also the first match it has won in the Pacific Time Zone in 6 years. (MLS Soccer)

2. Brevard County nonprofit, Air Mobile Ministries, is making its way to Ukraine to help with relief efforts by bringing water purifiers to heavily war-torn areas. Founder Joe Hurston says he hopes to help people stuck between the fighting. Each machine costs $3,000 and is manufactured by his team. (Click Orlando)

3. HÄOS on Church in downtown Orlando is under new management. Local developer Craig Mateer purchased the property from Gustavo Fonseca for an estimated $5.5 million. Mateer reportedly fired all management last week, including BlueLaLa Entertainment. (Bungalower)

4. An investigation is underway in Orange County following an early morning shooting at the Dream City Event Center and Performing Arts on the 6300 block of West Colonial Drive. Deputies said two adults, one male and one female, were shot during the incident. (WFTV)

5. Orange County residents are getting one last chance to weigh in tonight on Mayor Jerry Demings’ proposed penny sales tax increase. The last open house is at 6:30 p.m. inside Colonial High School's gym. The sales tax would increase 7.5% and provide nearly $600 million per year for transportation projects, including expanding Lynx and SunRail stops. (Spectrum News 13)

  • Orange County is hiring lifeguards ages 16 an older. The starting pay is $15 an hour. Interested applicants can apply online. (Twitter)
  • More than half of all renters in Central Florida are paying over 30% of their income in rent. Osceola County changed their comprehensive plan a few years ago to allow for more high-density development and reduced developer fees in response to rising costs, but more many renters help is not coming quickly enough.
