1. Employees of Crown Castle Inc. volunteered last week at Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida as part of a company initiative to support over 50 Clubs across the country with hands-on employee volunteering over the next two years. The event was part of Crown Castle Clean-Up Days nationwide. (Orlando Patch)
2. The Florida Department of Agriculture is seeking a $250,000 administrative fine against the ride operator of the Orlando FreeFall ride at ICON Park that had a 14-year-old boy tragically fall to his death earlier this year. The department said they will forward their investigative report and findings to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to consider criminal charges. (Orlando Patch, Click Orlando)
3. Restaurant health code violations are raking up in Orlando after investigators cited 101 restaurants across six counties in the area for not passing health inspections. Orange County led the way with 40 failed restaurant inspections. (Subscription: Orlando Sentinel)
4. Hahalolo of USA Social Network & Travel Inc. of Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City has purchased an office building in Orlando at 5104 N. Orange Blossom Trail for $3.2 million, according to Orlando Business Journal. The Hahalolo app is available to download from the Google Play store and Apple app store. 5. Sushi Pop has closed down in Winter Park, according to an announcement made on its website. The restaurant still has one location in Oviedo at 310 W. Mitchell Hammock Road. The restaurant is run by chef and owner Chau Trinh. (Bungalower, Orlando Weekly)
