1. A lawsuit has been filed against Kissimmee businesses by Disney Enterprises and Lucasfilm Ltd. to "combat infringement of their intellectual property rights." The businesses named were previously known as "The Secret Disney Group" and are accused of selling unauthorized Disney merchandise. (WESH)

2. United Arts of Central Florida has provided $500,000 in grants to 33 arts and cultural organizations around Orange County. Recipients include Central Florida Ballet, Creative City Project, and FusionFest. Grants ranged from $297 to $50,000 for each group. (Click Orlando)

3. Florida deputies fatally shot a man Thursday night after he allegedly fought with deputies and took one of the deputy's stun gun, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office. Police have released few details about the incident other that the two officers involved are safe. (Fox 35 Orlando)

4. The Orlando Magic suffered a 119-100 home loss to the Washington Wizards on Friday. The Magic only had eight players available for the game due to penalties from Wednesday's on-court altercation against Detroit. (Subscription: Orlando Sentinel, Free: AP)

5. Orlando Business Journal has hired Sean McCrory as its new Editor-in-Chief, according to Bungalower. McCrory will assume the role on Jan. 23 and is a University of Florida graduate with a degree in Journalism, and has worked with The Gainesville Sun and Florida Times-Union. (Bungalower)
