1. Brevard Public Schools reported Tuesday that 3,000 more students and staff have been quarantined from Friday to Monday. 1,077 students and staff have tested positive since August 2nd. (Click Orlando)

2. Latin sensation Maluma is getting a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Orlando in ICON Park in 2022. (Spectrum News 13)

3. The Seminole County Fire Chief Otto Drozd has asked residents to reduce the use of 9-1-1 due to increased COVID calls. Ambulances are occasionally being backed up for an hour or more to deliver people to the hospital and workers are fielding hundreds of calls. (WFTV)

4. The Osceola County School Board has voted for a mask mandate with an opt-out option for all elementary and middle schools. The mandate will begin Monday and last six weeks. Masks will remain optional at high schools. (WESH)

5. Lake County Manager Alan Rosen has submitted a letter of resignation, but only if he gets a big severance payment and a consulting contract at $1,558 a month for a year and a half. The County Commission will consider his resignation request next Tuesday. (WMFE)
