• Walt Disney World announces closure of roller coaster; here's what will replace it (local12.com) — Orlando’s Walt Disney World is permanently closing Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith on March 2, with the last chance to ride coming March 1. The Hollywood Studios favorite will be rethemed as Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, opening summer 2026, bringing a new music-festival storyline and fresh animatronics that could reshape visitor traffic and local tourism patterns.
