1. ReadySpaces, which provides small-scale, flexible shared warehousing, office space, and logistics for small businesses, is bringing its concept to Central Florida. The company has leased a 94,400-square-foot industrial space in Orlando at 2507 Investors Row. (Orlando Patch)
2. The upcoming Downtown Development Board's monthly What’s Up Downtown networking event will take place on an historic walking tour of downtown Orlando on Thursday, April 7. The tour will be hosted by Richard Forbes, an Appearance Review Official with City of Orlando, Jennifer Fritz-Hunter, Historic Preservation Officer for the city, and Pamela Schwartz, the Executive Director of Orange County Regional History Center. 3. Four children were among 8 people hospitalized due to carbon monoxide at Sleep Inn & Suites in Lakeland on Sunday, officials say. Fire crews provided medical transport for the patients, according to LFD Battalion Chief Jim Craw. He added that the failure of a water heater in the hotel caused carbon monoxide to vent into people's rooms. The patients are reportedly in stable condition. (Click Orlando)
4. Sanford Food Truck Fiesta, a monthly event usually on every 3rd Saturday, is now moving to every 2nd Sunday as of April 10 when the first Sunday event will take place. The new Sunday event will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., feature over 30 food trucks, dozens of vendors, craft beer, live music and remain pet and family-friendly. (Historic Downtown Sanford)
5. SunRail has added an additional southbound train this week that runs later from March 14 through March 18 to correspond with Spring Break in Florida. Riders can use the train to attend several events planned for this week, including shows at the Amway Center, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and Orlando Shakes, The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, and Orlando Magic home games. - The plastic barriers at cash registers have come down at Publix nearly two years after they were installed. It was one of the last COVID-19 precautions remaining at the Lakeland-based grocery store. (Orlando Sentinel)
- Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Orlando-style poolside at the Unreserved Beer Garden at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa with beer flights that include any four beers from Florida breweries. (Twitter)
