Here are the top stories today in Orlando:

1. Orlando has made a bid to host World Pride 2026 and local businesses could see a boost if it does happen. ParkSleepFly recently named Orlando as the most LGBTQ-friendly city in the country in a new study. (Click Orlando)

2. Disney Genie is finally set to debut on October 19th. It is a new app designed to help guests navigate the theme park during visits and there will be option to bypass regular lines called Genie+. (Spectrum News 13)

3. A ruling on Florida's vaccine passport ban could come as soon as next week. The fight over vaccines has been heated in Florida for almost the entire year as Governor DeSantis attempts to limit mandates, threatening both businesses and local governments. (Orlando Weekly)

4. Save Deer Run in Central Florida has been trying to save the more than a thousand acres at a shuttered golf course from development and has succeeding in creating a taxing district. The gold course will become a park instead. (WFTV)

5: Prepare for tourists: Central Florida is expected to pass pre-pandemic levels this holiday season as people come back to Florida for the holidays. Travel groups already say they are seeing an increase in booking, so don't delay if you have plans. (Fox 35 Orlando)
