1. A Central Florida man was arrested after he impersonated a Disney employee and stole an R2-D2 droid worth $10,000 at a Walt Disney World hotel in May, according to an arrest affidavit. David Proudfoot, 44, of Kissimmee stole the droid from the Swan Reserve Hotel. (Orlando Patch)
2. A teenager has been charged following a January 11 crash in Clermont that resulted in the death of one of his juvenile passengers. An arrest affidavit in Lake County states that the 17-year-old driver is charged with vehicular homicide. (WESH)
3. A document from the Chair of the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission shows that Seminole County Judge Wayne Culver will be suspended without pay for 60 days, receive a public reprimand and be required to complete an anger management course as well as take stress management counseling. The punishments come after two incidents including Culver cursed out a defendant in court. (WESH)
4. State attorneys across the metro Orlando area this week would not say whether or not they would prosecute people who get abortions following a new 15-week ban on abortions in the state of Florida. Some experts say the silence could be due to the potential for state attorneys to be removed from office by the governor. (Subscription: Orlando Sentinel)
5. Disney's "Splash Mountain" is getting a new look and officially has a new name and opening time frame at Disney Parks. "Tiana’s Bayou Adventure" will open in Disney Parks in late 2024, according to the Disney Parks Blog. (WFLA, Disney Parks Blog)
