1. Too Much Sauce, a restaurant on Mills Avenue in Orlando, announced its immediate and permanent closure on Sunday. Management blamed a flexible yet non-agreeable lease and COVID-19 impacting crucial team members. (Click Orlando)
2. The deadline to apply for rental assistance in Orlando is Friday, July 1. The U.S. Department of the Treasury awarded the city of Orlando $6.8 million in COVID-19 Relief Funds and the funds are to be disbursed. City leaders say priority will be given to households with less than 50% of the area median income. (WESH)
3. Breeze Airways has launched in Orlando and is offering daily non-stop flights to and from Charleston, South Carolina. Orlando is the 20th nonstop destination Breeze offers from Charleston and flights will be as cheap as $39 one way. (WFTV)
4. A 55-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man were pronounced dead Saturday morning after being found by deputies responding to a shooting call at a resort on I-Drive, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies identified the woman as Kim Freeman Bailey, 55, and the man as Troy Adolphus Bailey, 61. (Click Orlando)
5. A suspect believed to be holding two women hostage was fatally shot by deputies following a chase that spanned three counties. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that a woman on Saturday night was shot and kidnapped in Osceola County. The suspect was pursued by police into Indian River County and then Brevard County with the wounded woman and another woman in his car. (Subscription: Orlando Sentinel)

- Florida prosecutors have decided not to file criminal charges against two former Lowell corrections officers after a female inmate was left paralyzed while at the prison. The civil suit was settled for $4 million in 2020. (Fox 35)
- Walt Disney World celebrated the opening of a new resort vacation club on Sunday. It is an expansion of The Villas at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. (WFTV)
