1. Joel Springman, the owner of the Wall Street Plaza in downtown Orlando, has sold a number of his properties to the operators of Gilt Nightclub. The Orlando destination has suffered during the pandemic from local COVID-19 restrictions and new noise regulations emerging from Orlando City Hall. The properties being sold are Sideshow, Wall Street Cantina, Waitiki, and Monkey Bar, located on the second floor above Waitiki. (Bungalower)

2. According to Experience Kissimmee, the area's tourism marketing arm, Kissimmee has the largest collection of vacation home rentals in the world, with more than 50,000 options. A new study from a American Home Shield found Kissimmee ranks No. 3 on its list of Best Places to Buy a Vacation Home in 2022. (Osceola News-Gazette)

3. A satellite manufacturing company in Brevard County is trying to figure out its future after its main customer made a hard pivot away from launching in Russia. Airbus OneWeb Satellites (AOS) on Merritt Island has been in operation since 2019 is experiencing an impact from sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine. (Spectrum News 13)

Guests at Universal Studios Orlando enjoyed a concert from world-wide renowned DJ and artist Marshmello over the weekend as part of the theme park's Mardi Gras celebration, now back after a pandemic pause. The entire viewing area was at capacity during the concert. Mardi Gras concerts are included with admission and visitors can also enjoy a parade before called The Spectacular Parade with a focus on New Orleans traditions and plenty of beads being thrown. The Palestinian Student Association at University of Central Florida in Orlando hosted a rally last week to shed light on what they say is the ongoing displacement of Palestinians from a neighborhood in Israel. The crowd marched around UCF's Memory Mall chanting various slogans of "free, free Sheikh Jarrah," "free, free Palestine" and "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." (NSM Today)
