Woman With Pitchfork, Whip Arrested Outside Florida Publix: Police

The woman was trying to sell teddy bears outside the grocery store and stabbed a minivan with the pitchfork, police say.

MINNEOLA, FL — A woman wielding a pitchfork and a black whip was arrested Tuesday afternoon outside a Publix grocery store in Minneola, Florida, according to an arrest report obtained by Patch.

A Florida Highway Patrol officer found Lisa Anne Slone, 56, around 2 p.m. in front of the Crossing Hills Publix located at 1625 N. Hancock Road, where she was yelling and waving the pitchfork and whip, according to the report.

The store manager told police Slone was attempting to sell teddy bears behind the store and later ran around the store with the pitchfork, which she used to stab a minivan. The owner of the minivan declined police involvement, according to the report.

Slone appeared to be "highly intoxicated" on an unidentified stimulant and had scars from recent cuts on her legs and body as well as bruises on her face and body, according to police.

Police took the weapons away and arrested Slone, who repeatedly said that she felt no pain anymore and that God was in control, authorities said.

Slone is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is in Lake County Jail on $2,000 bond, according to jail records.
