Palmetto Bay Village Council Successfully Postpones Bridging on SW 87 Avenue
PALMETTO BAY, FL, MAY 17, 2017 Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Cutler Bay and Palmetto Bay Village Councils , led by Mayor Flinn and Mayor Bell and District 8 Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava, we are pleased to announce that the proposed bridging of SW 87 Avenue from SW 164 Street to SW 163 Terrace has been postponed until sufficient community input has been gathered and public meetings are held.
We will provide information regarding community input sessions in the near future as the information becomes available.

Miami-Dade County has also informed us of their approval to start the construction of the traffic circle at the intersection of SW 82 Avenue and SW 168 Street. Construction is expected to begin within the next two months and the county has therefore requested the removal of the "no right-turn signs " along the northbound lane of SW 87 Avenue. Removal of t he signs is schedule d for the end of May / beginning of June in advance of the construction .
Additionally, the county's traffic pilot project on Old Cutler Road and SW 136 Street has been completed and the County has determined that the left turn lane will remain permanently closed.
