Child Porn Possession Charges Filed Against Palm Harbor Man

PALM HARBOR, FL — Pinellas County detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Palm Harbor man on multiple counts of possession of child pornography.

Detectives began an investigation on July 16, 2021, after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that child pornography was being downloaded through the internet in the Palm Harbor area.

Detectives said they were able to identify the source of the internet downloads as 23-year-old Clayton Hunter Bowman of Cypress Pond Road, who was arrested Thursday and charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography.

When Bowman was interviewed by detectives, he admitted to downloading the child pornography and transmitting it online. During a forensic search of Bowman's cell phone, detectives discovered additional child pornography files.

He's been released from jail on a $200,000 bond.
