Depression Closes Tarpon Lake Boulevard Section
A stretch of Tarpon Lake Boulevard has been closed following the discovery of a depression in the road.

PALM HARBOR, FL — Motorists who use Tarpon Lake Boulevard in the Lansbrook area may want to take different routes Friday. Pinellas County has announced the closing of a section of the road following the opening of a depression in the road.
“Drivers are advised to avoid Tarpon Lake Boulevard between Lansbrook Parkway and Aylesford Drive,” an email from the county said. “The depression developed this afternoon as crews were working to inspect and repair a bypassed sewer gravity line that was found to be blocked Thursday morning, Feb. 16.”
Pumper trucks have been brought into the area to help prevent sewer spills, the county added.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area of the closing and to enter and exit Lansbrook and other nearby neighborhoods using Village Center Drive or the southern end of Tarpon Lake Boulevard, which both intersect with East Lake Road South.
It is unclear how long work in the area to continue. The county said Lansbrook Parkway has also been reduced to two lanes at the intersection with Tarpon Lake Boulevard.

“Residents and travelers should expect traffic in the area to be impacted over the weekend,” the email noted.
