Deputy’s Cruiser Crashed Into: Woman Charged with DUI
A Palm Harbor woman faces DUI charges after the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says she crashed into a cruiser.

OLDSMAR, FL — A 45-year-old Palm Harbor woman faces DUI charges following a Wednesday morning crash in Oldsmar.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Peter Lamborghini was investigating a three-vehicle crash on Tampa Road, just north of Curlew, around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Lamborghini arrived on the scene in marked 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe that had its lights activated. Lamborghini kept those lights activated and parked in the northbound curb lane, an email from the agency said.
While Lamborghini reportedly parked in the curb lane to “shield the vehicles in the crash from oncoming traffic,” it was his Tahoe that ultimately needed the shielding, the agency said. As the deputy was outside the vehicle, conducting the crash investigation, a Nissan Altima that was heading north on Tampa Road slammed into the Tahoe’s rear end. The Tahoe ended up moving forward and striking a 1986 Porsche 944, which then hit a 2012 Mazda 6. The Mazda and Porsche were both involved in the original crash and were unoccupied when the second impact occurred, the email noted.
