Motorcyclist Dies in Palm Harbor Crash

Two Palm Harbor residents were involved in the early morning crash on Sunday.

Around 2:29am on Sunday, a vehicle driven by Rebecca Halling was struck by a motorcycle at the intersection of CR-752 and CR-501. 

According to the police report, Halling, 23, was heading eastbound in a Chevy coupe when she approached the red light. She proceeded through the intersection and a Kawasaki driven by James Cavanaugh, 40, struck the Chevy's passenger side. 

Cavanaugh was in critical condition upon arrival at Mease Countryside Hospital. He later died from the injuries sustained in the crash.

The release did not give details of Halling's condition.
