Palm Harbor Man Charged with Extortion in Pasco
Thomas Alfonso, 24, was charged with extortion by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office Tuesday.

A Palm Harbor man has been arrested by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office on charges of extortion.
Pasco Jail records show 24-year-old Thomas Alfonso, of 30 Liberty Way, was arrested Tuesday and had a $5,000 bond assessed.
According to a report by the Tampa Bay Times, Alfonso, "tried to bilk another man of $20,000 for his influence in a court case."

Alfonso began texting Trevor Campbell on March 7, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report. Campbell is facing charges of aggravated stalking. Alfonso's brother, Shannon Alfonso, is a witness for the prosecution in that case.
Campbell said Thomas Alfonso made it clear in the texts that he had influence on his brother's testimony.
