U.S. 19 Traffic Signal to Be Removed Wednesday

The removal will force traffic on Enterprise to take an alternate route in order to go south on U.S. 19.

The traffic signal at U.S. 19 and Enterprise Road will come down on Wednesday, May 8, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

A concrete barrier will be installed in the median, after the signal comes down Wednesday evening.

What does that mean for drivers?

  • Left turns from Enterprise Road on to U.S. 19 will no longer be allowed.
  • Drivers will not be able to cross over U.S. 19 at Enterprise Road.

Instead, traffic heading west on Enterprise will have to take a different route to go south on U.S. 19.

First, drivers will need to turn right and drive north on U.S. 19 to Countryside Boulevard, where they will make a U-turn under U.S. 19 to rejoin southbound U.S. 19.
