Van Ends Up In Drainage Ditch After Skidding On Wet Road

PALM HARBOR, FL — A 39-year-old Tampa man found himself in hot water Thursday when he lost control of his van on the wet road and crashed into a water-filled drainage ditch.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:55 p.m. Thursday, the van was traveling west on Tampa Road, west of Lake St. George Drive, when the van skidded on the wet road. The van rotated to the north shoulder, went through a metal pedestrian handrail and entered the ditch next to the road.
