• Panama City, Florida Celebrates Opening of MLK Jr. Recreation Center (fosterfollynews.net) — Panama City residents are getting a major new gathering spot with the revamped MLK Jr. Recreation Center, which held a soft opening December 15 and fully opens in mid-January. The center will feature a gym, fitness rooms, STEM lab, arts and crafts studio, and outdoor fields, capped by a grand opening celebration on January 16 from 4–8 p.m. 
• Post-holiday travel: Airports and roadways stay busy between Christmas and New Year's (wjhg.com) — Holiday travelers in and around Panama City are facing crowded airports and congested highways as traffic surges between Christmas and New Year’s.
