Body Of Missing Florida Woman Cassie Carli Found In Alabama: Police
Carli's body was found in a shallow grave in a Birmingham suburb, and the father of Carli's 4-year-old daughter was arrested in Tennessee.
NAVARRE, FL — The body of a missing woman from Navarre was found in a "shallow grave" at a barn in Alabama, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office announced Sunday evening.
Cassie Carli, 37, was reported missing a week ago after she was last seen March 27 at a Navarre Beach restaurant, where she was exchanging her 4-year-old daughter with the child's father, Marcus Spanevelo.
Carli's body was found when authorities were executing a search warrant in Springville, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham about 300 miles north of Navarre. Spanevelo was arrested in Lebanon, Tennessee, by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said a news conference.
