Bonfires, Music and Rum Runners After Running
At Friday night's kick off party, hundreds mingled around a massive bonfire on the beach while others danced the cold weather away.
was off to a great start on Friday night. After a health and fitness expo at the Palms of Pasadena, runners along with their friends and family were invited to enjoy a party on the beach.
It all began at 7 pm Behind the . A deep hole was dug so that party goers could stay warm with a bonfire. The crowd enjoyed continuous heat from the fire.
Rum Runners, the tiki bar by the Sirata's pool, was packed and had an endless stream of customers coming and going throughout the night. The Horny Toads played live music while guests danced and sang to their favorite tunes.

Good times could be heard from the shore to the Sirata lobby as the St. Pete Beach Classic officially got underway on Friday night.
