McKenzie won the award for going above and beyond his required duties as a police mounted officer. He is a team player who can be counted on to complete whatever task he is assigned and he is a creative thinker and demonstrates the agency's core values daily, said Police Chief Michael Haworth. The police chief added that McKenzie consistently remains positive and upbeat, and he continues to garner the respect of his supervisors and peers.
