Coast Guard Works on Navigation Tower Near Skyway
Coast Guard crews cover a navigational tower with netting to prevent birds from nesting.
Last week, the United States Coast Guard and the navigation team St. Petersburg boat crew worked on a navigation tower near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
According to a news release, crews were called to that location to cover a range tower with special netting that, "will prevent birds nesting in the navigational fixture."
