Digital Eel is a One Stop Shop for Everything Web
From marketing to design, Digital Eel houses an array of creative options under one roof.
In 1999, Steve Schwalb and V Brunson opened Digital Eel. Originally the idea was to stay on the tech side of things, but the duo did some research came up with a different approach to the web industry.
“In the California Gold Rush, it wasn’t the miners who got rich,” said CEO Schwalb. “It was the guys selling the shovels.”
Rather than pursue a route that so many others were already taking on, Schwalb and Brunson saw longevity in the facilitation of everything web-based. From design to hosting and marketing, Digital Eel’s idea came just in time for success.
“There was a lot of techies out there, so we said ‘what can we offer as a service?’” said President V Brunson. She and Schwalb put their heads together and came up with Digital Eel.
Over the past 12 years, Schwalb and Brunson have seen the trends of marketing strategy change with the times. “What used to be mainstream print, newpaper, radio or TV has now moved online,” said Schwalb. “The reason is simple- it’s more effective.”
Now with a full in-house design team, Schwalb and Brunson are able to bring their long term goals to life. “We have always wanted to help small businesses compete with larger businesses,” said President V Brunson. “We are very much about our customers.”
In 2011, Digital Eel celebrated its best year to date and also won the “Small Business of the Year” award from the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce.
