Fatal Pinellas Park Hit-And-Run Crash Leads To 2nd Arrest

Police arrested the passenger of the hit-and-run vehicle who they said didn't call 911 and helped get rid of the vehicle involved.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — An investigation into a fatal hit-and-run accident on July 29 at 3:10 a.m. has led to another arrest.

The Pinellas Park Police Department arrested Nicole Ventura, 24, who police said was a passenger in the vehicle that struck and killed William Rothey at 11702 66th St. N, Pinellas Park, has been taken into custody and charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence in connection with the case.

Police determined that Ventura failed to call 911 or provide aid at the scene of the crash and subsequently fled the scene with the driver, Anaya Millan. Police said Ventura also assisted Millan in disposing of the vehicle by dropping it off at a local business and drove Millan in her own vehicle after the fatal crash.

Millan has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with a death.
