Which Beach Intersection Needs to be Improved?
Officials are considering traffic improvements and beautifications at the intersection of Walsingham Road and Gulf Boulevard in Indian Rocks Beach. What do you think should be done? Are there other intersections around town that need improvement?

Indian Rocks Beach officials are considering various improvements to the intersection of Walsingham Road and Gulf Boulevard, the Belleair Bee reports.
The project, which could cost around $700,000 to $1 million, would include improvements to the traffic pattern, beautification and improvements to an adjacent small park.
Among the changes being considered and based on residents' feedback, the Bee reports: The elimination of traffic islands; eliminating the right turn lane coming north on Gulf Boulevard, turning east onto Walsingham; and adding a crossing lane for golf carts on Gulf.

The plans will be further considered at a special meeting at 5 p.m. on April 23, the Bee reports. The project won't be finished until at least December 2014.
