Longtime Pinellas Park City Clerk Retires; New Clerk Welcomed
After 29 years of service, Diane Corna retired as the city clerk for the city of Pinellas Park. Corna's last day of service was May 5.

PINELLAS PARK — After 29 years of service, Diane Corna retired as the city clerk for the city of Pinellas Park. Corna's last day of service was May 5.
Corna started with the city in 1994 and, in 1999, was promoted to deputy city clerk. In 2004, she was appointed to city clerk.
She received her Master Municipal Clerk designation in January 2006. Corna was an active member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, Florida Association of City Clerks, Pinellas County Municipal Clerks Association and the National Notary Association.

Corna and her husband, Bob, have two sons, Mitch and Beau, and two granddaughters, Ella and Amaya.
"It has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve our city council, as well as the residents of Pinellas Park in my capacity as city clerk," said Corna. "I am confident that the clerk's office will continue to serve the community with dedication and excellence moving forward."

Jennifer Carfagno was appointed by the city council to replace Corna.
Carfagno started her career with the city in March 2016 as a senior office specialist in the city clerk's office. She holds an associate in arts degree and a Certificate in Management and Leadership from St. Petersburg College.
Carfagno received the Certified Municipal Clerk designation in December 2018, the Master Municipal Clerk designation in January 2021 and, in April 2022, she became an Athenian Fellow with the IIMC Athenian Leadership Society.
She is an active member of the following professional organizations: International Institute of Municipal Clerks, Florida Association of City Clerks, Pinellas County Municipal Clerks Association, National Association of Parliamentarians and Florida State Association of Parliamentarians.
Carfagno and her husband, Anthony, have a daughter, Kayla, son-in-law, Joshua, and two goldendoodles, Bailey and Jack.

"We are also excited to welcome Jennifer as the new city clerk and are confident that she will continue to drive our success through her professional leadership to the entire clerk's team and her commitment to the city of Pinellas Park."
