The Sloppy Pelican’s spin on a nacho tradition includes lettuce, sour cream, onions, tomatoes, jalepenos and cheese. It’s all topped off with a pile of chili. They say it’s “the biggest you’ve ever seen” and can be consumed for just $8.95.

• VIP Mexican Restaurant and Louge- 10625 Gulf Boulevard, Treasure Island

VIP’s Nacho Supreme is stacked high and sells for $9.95 a pop. The local favorite has freshly fried tortilla chips topped with lettuce, beans, tomatoes, onions, black olives, shredded cheese and your choice of meat (chicken, beef (shredded or ground) or pork). Sour cream, salsa and guacamole are served on the side. Half orders are sold for $6.95.

• Gators Cafe- 12754 Kingfish Drive, Treasure Island

An order of Gators’ Nachos Grande is up for grabs at $8.95. The nachos plate is filled with tostitos, sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, jalepenos and cheese sauce. Ground beef tops it all off for a truly fulfilling appetizer or meal.

• Daiquiri Deck- 14995 Gulf Boulevard, Madeira Beach

The $7.99 D2 Nachos at Daiquiri Deck are a solid selection on the menu. A plate boasting freshly fried, tri-colored tortilla chips is seasoned and loaded with beans. On top of it all lies cheddar jack cheese, jalepenos, tomatoes and olives. Salsa and sour cream are served on the side and you can upgrade to add spicy beef or chicken for just $1.

• Los Mexicanos- 301 Gulf Boulevard, Indian Rocks Beach

Offering authentic Mexican cuisine, Los Mexicanos has their Nachos Locos plate down to a science. Fresh tortilla chips are topped with beans, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes and onions. Beneath the chips there’s a sea of white queso for dipping. This massive portion sells for $9.25.
