Mo' Gravy: "Mo’ Gravy was started by two South Tampa business owners Keith W Koehler (Koehler & Company CPA) and Michael "Egg" Eggleston (Tampa Sports Massage) to bring diverse music to Tampa Bay area venues. We started playing informally on Saturday mornings and turned it into an active-gigging band."

Q: What type of music does Mo' Gravy perform?

Mo' Gravy: "Mo’ Gravy plays diverse, acoustic cross-genre music including contemporary, classics, country and bluegrass.  We revise our playlist to accommodate the venue and the vibe they are trying to create.  We have opened for national artists like Sister Hazel and Edwin McCain, international artist The April Verch Band and local artists Daniel B Marshall and Woody & The Nutcrackers.  We are fortunate to play such diverse music. We can play music for a night that is all contemporary, all bluegrass/country and acoustic or an eclectic mix of all of it!"

Q: How long have the members of Mo' Gravy been musicians?

Mo' Gravy: "Egg and Keith have played music most of their lives. Keith started in the Gainesville, FL music scene as a child playing at Skeeter's Restaurant. He was 13 when he became a fiddle player and picked up guitar. Egg has been performing professionally in the music industry since 1977. He was a concert saxophonist, on tour, for nine years with various R&B artists. For the last 10 years he has been the Contemporary Music Director at The First Presbyterian Church in downtown Tampa."

Q: Who inspires Mo' Gravy, musically?

Mo' Gravy: "Mo’ Gravy is inspired by James Taylor, Sister Hazel and local talent, Daniel B Marshall."

Q: What is a favorite part of playing music on the beach?

Mo' Gravy: "Mo’ Gravy loves playing on the beach because of the laid back scene and people being willing to get into the music."

Q: Where would you all like to be, as a band, in 10 years?

Mo' Gravy: "We would like to be working some at the office, playing more music, watching the children grow up and traveling."

Q: Where does Mo' Gravy play on the beach?

Mo' Gravy: "We play wherever opportunities open up including Postcard Inn, the Salty Rim and Palm Pavilion."
