Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Guardrail In Seminole

A 57-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night after colliding with a guardrail on Seminole Boulevard.

SEMINOLE, FL — A 57-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night after colliding with a guardrail on Seminole Boulevard.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, at 11:03 p.m., James Bartlett Jr. was traveling south on Seminole Boulevard near Baypines Boulevard at a high speed when he lost control at a curve and struck a guardrail.

Bartlett was thrown from the 2005 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to investigators, speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crash.
