PINELLAS PARK, FL — She has the ability to make everyone around her feel as if they're part of the team and is committed to finding new and better ways for the city of Pinellas Park to communicate with its residents.

These hallmarks of Jillian Rose's management style led to her being named Pinellas Park's 2022 Outstanding City Employee Thursday, City Manager Bart Diebold said.

Pinellas Park city officials joined Rotarians at the Pinellas Park Rotary Club meeting as Rose, the economic development coordinator for the city, was honored for the second time this year.

Earlier this year, the city named construction services director, Aaron Petersen, Public Works Employee of the Year; Pinellas Park Fire Department Lt. William Weaver as Firefighter of the Year; Detective Jesse Haisch as Police Officer of the Year; and Rose accepted the Professional Service Employee of the Year award.

From these four honorees, Rose has now been chosen for the city's highest distinction, the Employee of the Year.

Diebold said Rose is certainly deserving of the city's top honor.

Throughout her time with the city, Rose has proven she can handle any job that comes her way.

She began her career with the city as a staff assistant with Neighborhood Services and was quickly promoted to community compliance specialist.

She then served as fire prevention specialist for the Pinellas Park Fire Department and was recently promoted to economic development coordinator for the city's Community Development Department.

Diebold said Rose routinely looks for ways to benefit her fellow city employees and the residents of Pinellas Park.

While he said he's proud to recognize all of this year's honorees, he said Rose has gone above and beyond to improve the quality of life for those who live and work in Pinellas Park.

"She has positively contributed to the city of Pinellas Park in the areas of public health and safety outreach initiatives and economic development events," he said. "I want to congratulate Jillian Rose on being awarded Outstanding City Employee of the Year."
