Pinellas Sheriff's Dental Assistant Pulled Gun On Her Husband: Sheriff

SEMINOLE, FL — Pinellas County deputies arrested a non-certified employee of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Friday following a domestic dispute in which deputies said she threatened to shoot her husband.

According to deputies, 55-year-old Ekaterina O'Neal got into an argument with her husband, Craig O'Neal, 54, at their home in Seminole. At some point during the argument, deputies said O'Neal retrieved her personal handgun, pointed it at her husband and, after lowering the gun, stated she was going to shoot him.

Ekaterina O'Neal was taken into custody and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies also arrested Craig O'Neal, charging him with one count of domestic battery by strangulation.

O'Neal has been employed as a non-certified dental assistant with the agency since 2014.
