'Spring Breakers' Opens This Weekend

Forget the Grand Prix, which roars through St. Petersburg this weekend.

If you want to see something really racy, head to Muvico Baywalk 20 for the premiere showing of "Spring Breakers," which was filmed in the Tampa Bay area and shows many familiar Gulf Coast sites. (See movie times below.)

If you're expecting a travelogue, you better head to your local library. Connie Francis may have started the spring break movie genre with "Where the Boys Are," set in Fort Lauderdale in 1960.

But this is not your grandma's spring break. Far from it. Think "Pulp Fiction" meets "Girls Gone Wild," and you may have just an inkling of what to expect in this film, which features gun-toting teenage girls in bikinis who get mixed up with some bad characters in South Florida.
