St. Pete Beach Mayor Al Johnson lauded the library’s dedication to meeting the needs and interests of the St. Pete Beach community and beyond.
“Locally owned businesses are the backbone of our community," he said. "They create jobs and provide a sense of fulfillment. The St. Pete Beach Library recognizes the desires many of our citizens have to work for themselves. And this partnership and the free resources provided through it helps reduce the barrier to entry in business ownership/starting a business.”
“We are thrilled with the partnership between SCORE, the chamber and the library," Betcinda Kettells, director of the library, said. "We want to ensure everyone understands the pathway to business and that they’re free to pursue their dreams regardless of their backgrounds or traditional business knowledge. The workshops, display and professional mentoring will help those with entrepreneurial dreams succeed for no investment other than their time. We are so proud to be able to play a part in helping to make those dreams a reality everyone can afford.”
