Tradewinds Opens Water Park

, but the resort is also home to a Splash Island Water Park. In addition to the popular slide, guests and visitors can enjoy the water park for $25 an hour. Guests who are staying at the resort will receive at $9 discount if they pay with their room key card.

The Splash Island Water Park is complete with a climbing wall, trampolines, ladders, floats and loungers. What makes the park so unique is that it is located in the Gulf of Mexico, just beyond the sandy beaches of the Tradewinds. The water park area is roped off with a free swim area surrounding the inflatable jungle gyms.

Visitors can rent an Island raft for $21.50 (for two hours). Just inside the free swim area, the rafts seat up to four adults. Enjoy kicking back while the kids roam free in the water park. 

Certified lifeguards are on duty at all times during the park's operation. All guests inside the water park will be required to wear life jackets. 

Although the water park is open to the public, parking is reserved for Tradewinds guests only. Try one of the many public beach accesses, north or south of the park.
