Video: Seabird Hospital
The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary Hospital helps rehabilitate injured birds from all around the Pinellas county.

"The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is run almost completely off of volunteers' hard work. Countless hours of tireless rescues, cleanings and feedings are racked up on a daily basis for the dedicated individuals that help run the sanctuary. Some crew members stay as late as 9 o'clock at night. Together, the working hands agree that  it's all for one purpose: the birds.
It's baby bird season and on any given day, the sanctuary hospital can receive up to 60 birds that need help. From injuries to illness, the Seabird Sanctuary truly is a safe haven for creatures of flight.Â
Members of the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary are heroes in the eyes of mother nature. A vast majority of the seabirds that are brought into the sanctuary are directly or indirectly harmed by humans. The staff and crew of volunteers at the sanctuary devote their time, sweat and tears to put seabirds back in their natural habitat. Today, we salute the heroes at the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary!
