Who Spray-Painted the New Central Beach Trail?
Treasure Island Police are trying to identify the person or persons who marred the new trail with black spray paint.

Treasure Island Police are trying to identify the person or people who used a can of black spray paint on the new $1.2 million Central Beach Trail.
Although the incident may not be an intentional act of vandalism, police say that someone appears to be using the trail to paint an item. It is making quite a mess.
According to the Beach Beacon, the incident occurred on May 7. Police are hoping the public will be on the lookout for the culprit.

They said a similar incident occurred at the Sunset Beach Pavilion.
The Central Beach Trail just opened a month ago. It runs along the shoreline behind motels and resorts. Originally built in the 1960s, the trail recently was updated and re-routed among the sand dunes.
