VALRICO, FL - A Florida teenager with a rare cancer who married his childhood sweetheart last month died Friday, according to multiple reports. Nineteen-year-old Dustin Snyder, of Valrico was given only weeks to live when he married Sierra Siverio, 21.
Snyder had said he wanted to live out the rest of his days with the love of his life. Snyder was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma a day before his 18th birthday in 2016, according to a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for his wedding. Doctors conducted surgery to remove the cancer from his affected lung, but the cancer returned and took over his stomach and pelvic area.
"I love her. She's been there for me through this whole process," Snyder told The Washington Post prior to his marriage last month.
