• Osceola connector highway approved despite concern over Florida Wildlife Corridor (wusf.org) — A major new toll road linking Poinciana Parkway to Florida’s Turnpike has been approved, promising a third way in and out of Poinciana and potentially cutting some travel times in half. The $2.54 billion Southport Connector Expressway would run along Cypress Parkway and near Lake Toho, but it’s drawing concern for its impacts on the Florida Wildlife Corridor and nearby conservation lands.
