• Cancer Society enlists Ponte Vedra's Sontag Foundation for helpline (jacksonville.com) — A Ponte Vedra Beach-based nonprofit, Brain Tumor Network, founded by the local Sontag Foundation, is now handling navigation for brain tumor patients who call the American Cancer Society’s helpline. The partnership elevates Ponte Vedra Beach’s role in national cancer support, and even includes proceeds from a donated local villa helping fund future brain cancer work.

• FHP: Driver ejected, killed after car hits attenuator and overturns on I-95 (fox35orlando.com) — A 52-year-old woman from Ponte Vedra Beach was killed Thursday when her car left I-95 near Melbourne, struck a crash attenuator, went airborne and overturned, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers say she was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected, while the other two drivers involved were uninjured and remained at the scene as the investigation continues.
