• Riviera Beach man accused of masterminding wife's lover's murder in 2021 (cbs12.com) — Riviera Beach police have arrested a 33-year-old local man in connection with a 2021 shooting death on West 4th Street, and he is now held without bond on a first-degree murder charge. Detectives say the victim, also from Riviera Beach, had a romantic relationship with the suspect’s wife. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Riviera Beach police.
   

• Shooting at Hanukkah celebration overseas leads to increased security at local events (cbs12.com) — Riviera Beach police boosted patrols on Singer Island’s “Hanukkah on the Beach” celebration after a deadly shooting at a Hanukkah event in Australia raised global security concerns. Across nearby communities like Juno Beach and North Palm Beach, synagogues and law enforcement are increasing visibility and protection around menorah lightings and other gatherings while rabbis urge residents to respond with unity rather than fear.
   

• Man injured during deputy-involved shooting, arrested in Palm Beach County (wpbf.com) — A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a November deputy-involved shooting in unincorporated Palm Beach County just outside Riviera Beach. Deputies say he advanced on them with a machete before one deputy fired, and Riviera Beach Fire Rescue took him to a hospital. The deputy remains on leave while state investigators review the shooting.
