4-Month-Old Baby Seen Shaken On Video By Safety Harbor Man
Detectives said the video shows Donovan Hartzell holding the baby by the shoulders and shaking her vigorously back and forth.

SAFETY HARBOR, FL β Pinellas County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Safety Harbor man for child abuse of a 4-month-old infant after he was caught on video camera shaking the baby, said the sheriff's office.
On Saturday around 10:34 a.m., deputies responded to a home in Safety Harbor after the mother of the 4-month-old reported seeing 26-year-old Donovan Hartzell shaking the baby on surveillance video while she was out of the house.
When deputies arrived, they found Hartzell in a bedroom with the baby who was laying on the bed crying. Deputies said they could see red marks on the baby's face, neck, arm and chest.

Detectives said the video shows Hartzell holding the baby by the shoulders and shaking her vigorously back and forth. After shaking the baby, Hartzell holds the victim on his lap while she is crying, and begins aggressively rubbing a blanket in her face.
The baby was taken to the hospital with injures that aren't believed to be life-threatening.

Hartzell was arrested and charged with child abuse.
