A Magic Cure Benefit

The nonprofit Children’s Cancer Research Group is countingΒ on a bit of magic to help find a cure for pediatric cancer.

To raise funds for the research group, the cancer advocacyΒ organization, 1Voice Foundation, will host A Magic Cure Benefit featuringΒ international illusionist Reynold Alexander at The Ritz Ybor on Saturday, MarchΒ 1.

Alexander has performed hisΒ mind-boggling illusions in more than 20 countries, capturing the imaginationsΒ of magic aficionados with his re-enactment of HarryΒ Houdini’s Water TortureΒ Cell in which he is handcuffed and locked upside down in a water tank.

Alexander’s acclaim has spreadΒ following the recent airing of the television special, β€œMagia Extrema,” in theΒ United States and Puerto Rico.

A Magic Cure Benefit is open toΒ the general public and is suitable for ages 6 and up. Doors will open for VIPΒ ticket holders at 4:30 p.m. to enjoy complimentary beer, wine hors d’oeurvres,Β photos with the star and a silent auction. A limited number of VIP tickets areΒ now on sale for $100.

The general public will beΒ admitted starting at 5 p.m. and the show will get underway at 6 p.m.

General admission tickets are $35Β for adults and $15 for children age 10 and under, not including service fees.
