Many people started lining up at area stores shortly after the Thanksgiving dishes were cleared - if not sooner. But was the wait worth it?

Black Friday 2012 is over. So was it worth the wait?
The annual shopping event seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year, with stores opening late on Thanksgiving evening now instead of waiting until early the following morning.
A number of recent articles have hit on the fascination with the unique event, including one that quotes professors from USF saying Black Friday is quickly morphing into Black Thursday.
