City Commission Meeting Is Tonight
Recognition for Safety Harbor Middle School teacher Joanne Wright and a strategy for the waterfront park are some of the items on the agenda tonight.
The Safety Harbor City Commission will hold its biweekly meeting tonight, and there are quite a few items of interest on the agenda.
The meeting will begin with a proclamation of a day in honor of Safety Harbor Middle School teacher Joanne Wright.
Wright, a sixth grade Reading teacher from New Zealand, was recently named Pinellas County's Outstanding Educator of the Year at an award ceremony last month.

Other items on the docket include:
- a public hearing on the future land use designation for the property located at 1885 Cedar Street
- approval of a proposed wooden deck to be built adjacent to the Harbor Bar
- an implementation strategy for the waterfront park master plan
The City Commission meeting takes place at City Hall, located at 750 Main Street in downtown Safety Harbor. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
