Easter Activities In Safety Harbor

Church services, egg hunts and hearty meals normally dominate the Christian holiday.

Easter Sunday is a sacred holiday on the Christian calendar, a day when church services are usually packed and restaurants fill up as well with those after-service diners.

You can celebrate Easter in Safety Harbor by doing both worshipping and dining, beginning with the annual Sunrise Service at the Marina, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Safety Harbor.

If getting up early is not your thing, most all the churches in town will be hosting an Easter service. You can find the list of churches in the Safety Harbor area by browsing our directory.

After church, if you're not planning to cook at home, at least one restaurant in town is planning a special Easter feast, according to our directory.

Southern Fresh, the downtown eatery that specializes in southern fare and other comfort foods, is serving an Easter buffet today. For a cost of $18 you get a full meal with all the fixings, including ham, roasted chicken, collard greens and garden salad. Reservations are recommended.

Of course there were already a pair of egg hunts in the Harbor last week, so any hunting by the little bunnies will be strictly of the backyard variety.

We hope you have a great Easter Sunday, no matter your affiliation or beliefs. Enjoy the day and the wonderful weather in Tampa Bay!
